Yukio Araki was a cheerful 17 year-old teenager who lived with his parents and his 3 brothers Yasuyoshi,Yoshio and Kunikatsu,on the World war`s era.Since he was a child he loved airplanes. At the young age of 15,he volunteered for the Japanese Army.Yukio became then a Kamikaze Pilot. On the 27th of May,1945,Yukio makes his sortie(his last one),for a suicide attack on American Ships, based in Okinawa. He died.Yukio was the youngest japanese Kamikaze Pilot in the History, yet, with a wonderful and amazing sense of patriotism for his country. He died for a cause, for what he believed in.Not everyone does that.
Today,in modern Japan, sadly, the Kamikaze pilots were forgotten.A thing i can`t personaly understand. But Yukio will stay in my heart forever. His sacrifice will stay in my mind forever. And his smile will remain in my memory forever.
Now,this site is to make a tribute and remembrance to one of the bravest souls i`ve ever seen...Yukio Araki.
Yukio,on your age,you were just a boy...but your mind was mature, your heart pure, your soul brave. There will never be another one like you.
<<In my dreams I`ll always see you soar above the sky...
In my heart there`ll always be a place for you for all my life...
I`ll keep a part of you with me,and everywhere i am,
There you`ll be>>
song by Faith Hill-`there you`ll be`.
I was reading the last letters he sent to his family, he did not deserve to die so soon, but even so, he died without regret, and in the end, that's all what matters, rest in peace, find peace in eternity...
I wish i could have known you!
Hi,Yukio-san!Hey...I`ve been watching an historical movie, about the Japanese Kamikaze. The title is "For those we love"...Well...It was so beautiful,it realy made me cry.You know, people can be very unfair sometimes. As people realy are, when they criticize the Kamikaze. It is very sad.You guys had no choice.IT was a matter of pride, honour, obedience to superiors,or the will to protect your own families who were suffering because of the war. From what i saw, some of your comrades went to die, because they were ordered to,and not because they believed Japan could win the war. Many of them, were realy thinking that Japan was not gonna make it,actualy.Their story is sad.Your story is sad.You all lived hard, only to fall. And you all were so so young!Yukio, you will always be remembered! You are a hero!

A great exemple.
Yukio was an exemplar person in everything he did during his so short life.He never gave up anything, but life to follow other`s orders. He was the perfect son,the perfect brother, and the perfect airman, and friend.with just 17 he offered his life to protect his family and country,as many other people did.and when i say this,I am talking about all the airmen, soldiers and sailors of all nationalities, around the world.Thank you for this memorial,Kristina!Thank you for remebering Yukio-san the way he should always be remembered.
you fought for your country and what you believed in,you died following orders.you gave the ultimate sacrifice at such a young age.you have honor and respect.R.I.P.
This young man died doing a couragous and admirable deed. I am glad to see you carry on his memory. May he rest in peace.
